4 Life-Changing Habits (Part 2)

the guide to ultimate happiness:)

Hey There,

I’m back, and today’s post is going to be a continuation of my previous post.

So, before you read this you may want to check that out: 4 Life-Changing Habits

Anyways, without further ado, let’s get into 4-Life Changing Habits. Part 2!

Habit 1: Get a Good Night’s Sleep

Maintaining a good sleep schedule is immensely important. An average adult should get at least 6-8 hours of sleep; and this doesn’t mean that you sleep at 4 am and decide to wake up at 12 pm; it also means that you go to bed early and wake up early. An ideal time to sleep would be 11 pm and wake up any time around 6 and 7 am. Speaking of waking up at a good time, you already know the next point.

Habit 2: Wake up Early

I’m probably sounding like your mother again, but it’s true. Waking up early will make you feel like you have more control over your day and will also help to reduce stress levels, as the daily morning rush of getting late to work or attend school will be eliminated. You will also have more time during the day to be productive or enjoy and relax!

Habit 3: To-Do List Your Life

I believe in the power of to-do lists. The satisfaction that you get after checking off all your tasks for the day and knowing you have the rest of the day to binge-watch “Grey’s Anatomy” is completely incomparable to any other feeling. Organize your life, your tasks and all the many things you have to accomplish in the form of simple to-do lists. That way you’ll have everything jotted down on a single piece of paper and chances are you’ll get most of it done, just for the satisfaction.

Habit 4: Read

Now not many of people enjoy reading, and honestly I didn’t either. But recently, being stuck at and nothing better to do than watch Netflix for 14 hours, reading came as shockingly pleasant, not-so-guilty pleasure to me. I have recently been spending a lot of my free time reading books, from mystery novels to surviving-life-guidebooks. So next time you have nothing to do, pick up a book. It may seem like such a task at first, but a few pages in, and chances are that it’s actually not that bad. Try reading more often, it’s good for the mind, body and soul.

4 Life-Changing Habits

the guide to ultimate happiness:)

Hey There,

I know it’s been a while…..in fact a long long while. 😅

You could say I’ve been busy….or…..lazy, or maybe just a mix of both.

Anyways I’m back now and today’s post is a all about 4 Life-Changing Habits that will absolutely change your outlook on life and hopefully result in ultimate happiness.

Without further ado, let’s jump right in!

Habit 1: Make your bed every morning

You’ve probably heard this one before, and let me tell you, YES, making your bed is indeed a very effective habit and probably the best way to start your day. By making your bed first thing in the morning, you will have already accomplished the first task of the day and this means one small victory each morning. Doing this one task will give you a sense of achievement and will encourage you to keep the great working going, and accomplishing more and more tasks each day.

Habit 2: Eat Healthy

Now, at the risk of sounding like a typical mother, let me tell you 🥬eAt hEaLtHy🥬. By this I don’t mean live on kale smoothies and celery juice, but instead try to maintain a balanced diet. Don’t cut down on fats and please don’t follow those trendy “High Carb” and “Keto Diets” but maybe try to incorporate all food groups in substantial amounts. This small habit will not only give you that dream body that you’ve been fantasizing about, but will elevate your mood and promote good health and well-being. Eating healthy will encourage you to be balanced in all other aspects of your life.

Habit 3: Water, Water & Water

Yep, you heard me. Stay hydrated. 8 glasses of water each day and your life will automatically start to fall in place. Drinking water will maximize physical performance, significantly impact energy levels, aid in weight loss and help prevent headaches and stress.

Habit 4: Say “thank you”

Gratitude is a very significant aspect of each of our lives. Appreciating the things and the people around you will naturally help you realize how incredible you life is and how there’s so much to be thankful for. There are so many different ways of expressing you gratitude. One of the easiest being saying “thank you”. And not only saying thank you to the ones who help you, but saying thank you to the universe. Thanking the universe for giving you the chance to live, to breath and to be alive in each moment. One simple way of saying thank you is through a gratitude jar. Check out my previous post for more information about a gratitude jar: https://laetitia.design.blog/2020/08/30/a-gratitude-jar-2/

A Gratitude Jar

gratefulness in a jiffy:)

Hey There,

Today I will be talking about a little something that changed my life: A Gratitude Jar.

Gratefulness is an extremely important aspect of our lives that allows us to appreciate and be grateful for everything that we have been provided with.

As individuals living in the 21st Century, many of us forget about the importance of being grateful for all that we are given. Whether be it our privileges, our happiness, our success or what not

It is important to be thankful for all that we have and be grateful for the smallest of things in our lives and this can be expressed through a simple daily habit that all of us need to acquire.

Maintaining A Gratitude Jar.

A Gratitude Jar simply contains every aspect of our lives that we acknowledge and that we feel are lucky to have.

Find a small container at home. This could be a mason jar, a bottle or any such thing and then grab yourself a stack of sticky notes, post it stamps or any small pieces of paper.

Everyday, either early in the morning, or at night before going to bed, write down one thing you are grateful for on this piece of paper.

Remember, you can be grateful for anything or anyone. It could be your mom who made you breakfast this morning, or a friend who bought you a cup of coffee.

You could also simply be grateful for a jacket that kept you warm through a chill evening or even a song you listened to that completely uplifted your mood.

You can be thankful for absolutely ANYTHING!

Now place this little piece of paper in the jar and try to repeat this every single day.

Many of us feel that the act of thankfulness will not benefit us in any way, however it is extremely important to reflect upon our lives and all that we have been gifted with, further savoring and acknowledging every moment and oppurtunity.

There are many things to be grateful for each day, even on an absolutely blue day, and reflecting upon what we are thankful for can help us feel happier and more privelleged.

Acquire this habit of maintain a gratitude jar and see how your life is uplifted.
